We all know that taste in music can differ, also during the Eurovision Song Contest… Some countries give the highest points to the winner while other countries ignore the winning song.
Each of the 43 participating countries at the Eurovision Song contest 2011 awarded 12, 10, 8–1 points to their 10 favourite songs, 50% via televoting, 50% via a professional jury. The first semi-final was won by Greece who got no points from Iceland and only 1 point from Norway. Semi- final two was won by Sweden who got no points from Bulgaria and only 1 point from Germany. The Grand Final was won by Ell & Nikki and their song Running Scared for Azerbaijan who got no points from Bulgaria, Italy, Norway, Armenia, North Macedonia, United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, Slovenia, Serbia, Ireland and Spain.
I did not realize that so many countries did not give any points to the winner.
