This year NORWAY is celebrating 60 years in the Eurovision song contest and this is a milestone that cannot go unnoticed.
ESC Covers website (which is based in Johannesburg South Africa) teamed up with ESC Morten, a blog (which is based in Oslo Norway).
They have decided to get someone to make 60 gifts, one for each year Norway was in the Eurovision song contest. We will close to Rotterdam reveal what the gifts are but ESC Covers will have 30 gifts to handout in Rotterdam and ESC Morten 30 gifts to hand out. 58 lucky people will get a gift as the other 2 go to Roy of ESC Covers and Morten of ESC Morten.
Each one will decide who gets the gifts and ESC Covers have decided as follows:
Anybody can put his or her hand up for the gift. But there are conditions:
1 – the person has to be physically in Rotterdam – posting from South Africa is a nightmare. Unless you can arrange with someone who is in Rotterdam to get the gift and take it to you.
2 – a person wanting the gift has to write a SMALL piece on
WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL HIGHLIGHT FROM NORWAY OVER THE 60 YEARS AT EUROVISION.
3 – it does not have to be long but it will be published on the ESC Covers website.
4 – You have to send your little memory to roelofv0@absamail.co.za or roy@esccovers.com
5 – If you do not want to write a piece, you can make a short audio file and talk about your highlight and send that file to the website. It will also be published – so you have a choice of two methods.
6 – if 28 or less memories are received, each person will get a gift. If more, then a panel of 3 judges will decide which 28 pieces are the best and those 28 will get the gift.
7 – because we want to post the memories prior to EUROVISION, the closing date will be 1 APRIL.
8 – unfortunately you can just enter once.
ESC Morten will decide how to distribute their 28 gifts and what format it will be. It is clear that more Norwegian people will get it other than the 28 from ESC Covers where we will focus on international fans in Rotterdam.
