26th PLACE IN THE 2022 EUROVISION SONG CONTEST – NORTH MACEDONIA

Morten Thomassen again discussed a song from the 2022 Eurovision song contest. This time it is the song CIRCLE from North Macedonia which ended in 26th place.  ESC COVERS google translated it from Norwegian to English.

In semifinal 2, it was North Macedonian Andrea who came in the sad 11th place.

But, she too was far from the final place, she had needed 21 points more to get there and then it is far ahead.

Admittedly, she would have come even further down if it had not been for the fact that 6 countries’ juries were caught cheating.

The song “Circles” was to turn out to be a jury song when Andrea got almost three times as many points from them in relation to what the people wanted to give them.

And had it not been for good ex-Yugoslav neighbors, the catch from the audience would have been at 2 lousy points.

In other words, we are talking about a song that obviously only professionals see the greatest benefit in.

What they heard was another modern song, beautifully performed vocally and perhaps an empathy that suited the intensity of the song.

The people, on the other hand, I think more felt that Andrea had a sour and introverted performance and the dark costume on the mostly dark stage made the song a little too anonymous for most people.

Mostly you almost have to have support from both jury groups for the final to be reached, so then this country will probably have to come up with something better next time.

Because this country has only reached the final twice in the last 15 years, so there needs to be a lot of tightening up if they have plans to get there, how about asking Tamara to try again?
